Email sequences
An email sequence is a series of steps that run on their own for each lead you enroll.
A sequence is built from two kinds of step, in order:
| Step | What it does |
|---|---|
| Wait | Pauses for a number of hours or days. |
| Send email | Sends an email with the subject and body you write. |
For example: send a welcome email, wait 2 days, send a follow-up, wait 5 days, send a last reminder.
Triggers
Section titled “Triggers”Choose how leads join the sequence:
- Lead created: every new lead is enrolled automatically.
- Manual: you enroll leads yourself from the lead page.
Status
Section titled “Status”| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Draft | Being built. Nothing is sent. |
| Active | Running. Enrolled leads move through the steps. |
| Paused | Stopped for now. You can activate it again. |
Use activate and pause on the sequence to switch between them.
Tracking
Section titled “Tracking”Each lead’s enrollment is tracked as Pending, Completed or Failed. The Email Sequence and Automation Stats reports show how a sequence is performing.
