Get started

This takes about fifteen minutes and leaves you with a real customer, a job on the schedule and an invoice ready to send.

Open Organization settings (owners and office managers can). Set the things you’d otherwise retype on every document:

  • your logo and brand color, used on estimates and invoices
  • the default tax rate
  • default terms, printed on documents
  • how many days an estimate stays valid (the estimate expiry)
  • the reorder threshold for parts

See Settings and reminders for every option.

Invite people from Team and give each a role. See Team and roles. Then add the people who go out on jobs as technicians, so you can assign work to them.

Create the customer, add the property where you’ll work, and record the equipment there. See Customers, properties and equipment.

  1. Create an estimate for the customer and send it.
  2. When they accept, create a job from it and assign a technician.
  3. Check the Schedule, do the work, and create the invoice from the job.

You can also create a job or invoice directly, without an estimate.
