Add a website
Add the site
Section titled “Add the site”- Open Shield and go to Websites.
- Choose to add a website, then enter its name and domain and pick its platform: WordPress, Magento, Laravel, PHP, Node.js, Python or static.
Your plan sets how many sites you can add.
Verify that you own it
Section titled “Verify that you own it”Before Shield scans a site, you prove it’s yours. Pick one method:

| HTML file | Upload a small file to the site with the name and contents Shield gives you. |
| DNS TXT record | Add a TXT record with the value Shield gives you to the domain’s DNS. |
| Meta tag | Add a meta tag Shield gives you to your home page’s <head>. |
Once the check passes, the site is verified and monitoring starts. You can leave the verification file, record or tag in place.
Site status
Section titled “Site status”A site is Active, Paused or Archived. Pause a site to stop monitoring it for a while without losing its history, and archive one you no longer need.
Check now
Section titled “Check now”Open a site and choose Check now to run its checks straight away instead of waiting for the next one.
