Post an incident
Uptime opens incidents on its own when a check fails. A posted incident is different: it’s a message you write for your customers, shown on your status page, explaining what’s wrong and what you’re doing about it.
Post one
Section titled “Post one”- Open Uptime and create a posted incident.
- Write a title and a message.
- Choose the sites affected.
- Set the impact: none, minor, major or critical.
- Set the progress: investigating, identified, monitoring or resolved.
Keep customers updated
Section titled “Keep customers updated”Add an update as things change, with a new message and progress. Each update is kept in a timeline on the incident, with who wrote it. When it’s fixed, set the progress to Resolved.
